Career Journey:
Zahid completed his Master of Professional Accounting at the University of Otago in 2022, bringing his passion for the field full circle after returning to study later in life. He joined JW Smeaton Chartered Accountants in July 2022 as an Intermediate Accountant and has since progressed to the role of Assistant Client Manager. Zahid is currently working towards his Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification, continuing to build his expertise and professional credentials. His journey reflects a strong commitment to growth, learning, and delivering high-quality service to clients.

Zahid is detail-oriented and client-focused, with a passion for helping businesses understand their numbers and make sound financial decisions. He brings a thoughtful, practical approach to his work and is known for building strong, trusted relationships with clients. Zahid has worked extensively with Xero Software, successfully converting many clients to Xero to improve their accounting processes. As a Xero Advisor Certified professional, he is dedicated to streamlining workflows and enhancing efficiency for clients.
Fun Fact:
When he’s not balancing books, Zahid enjoys playing table tennis, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and watching T20 cricket. He loves the fast-paced nature of the game, where every moment counts.
