Jill Liu

Career Journey:
Jill graduated from the University of Otago in 2018 with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Finance. She started out as an accountant in the finance team of a forestry company, gaining solid commercial experience. Looking to broaden her skills, she later joined JW Smeaton, where she now works across a range of accounting areas.

Jill recently became a Chartered Accountant, which further solidifies her commitment to providing top-notch financial advice. Fluent in both Mandarin and English, she brings a global perspective to her work, connecting with a diverse range of clients and colleagues.

Jill’s all about making accounting clear and approachable! She enjoys helping clients stay on top of their annual reporting and tax obligations, and takes pride in finding practical solutions that make things easier for everyone. With her organised mindset and fresh perspective, she’s always looking for ways to streamline processes and deliver timely, accurate results.

Fun Fact:
When she’s not working on numbers, Jill is on the table tennis table. She’s currently ranked 6th in New Zealand for Women’s Table Tennis and loves the focus and challenges the sport brings.
