David Shelton

Career Journey:
A proud Dunedin native, David was born, raised, and educated in his hometown. After earning his degree from Otago University, he started his career at Audit New Zealand, where he developed a strong foundation in auditing and financial management. In 1995, David took the next step in his career by joining J W Smeaton, quickly becoming a Partner in 1997. His leadership extends beyond his firm, as he was a director of the Otago Chamber of Commerce for nearly 8 years, including two years as President.

Throughout his career, David has built a reputation for providing thoughtful, strategic advice and maintaining strong relationships with his clients, helping them navigate complex financial decisions. Strong mathematically and analytical, he excels in advising on intricate, high-level challenges.
