John is born and bred in Mosgiel. He studied Computer Science at Otago University, graduating in 1984, and spent some time in Computer Programming before moving to Hallenstein’s Head Office. In 1992, he started working for Chartered Accountant Gary Pearson at his home in East Taieri and from 2007 on the main street of Mosgiel with Gary’s son Jeremy, taking a more active role in the business. John joined JW Smeaton in 2014.
